Finally getting a chance to catch up on my posting - I've got a bunch of photos sitting in the queue, now just trying to find time to actually post.
We have a tradition of trying to spend a week at the beach in the Outer Banks, NC, during the summer. Having done this for several years now, I've come up with a theory. I've decided that the home owners association here has mandated certain themes must be included in the decoration of beach homes here. As such, I figured it warranted documenting it!
First off, the knots. I'm convinced there's an entire province in China dedicated to churning these things out:
Next up, a ship of some kind:
Lighthouses! There must be many of them!
Aargh! Here there be pirates!
But I have to say, this house takes the cake with the 12-inch tall frog sailors. Truly one of a kind that sets this summer's house apart from the rest. If I had a gold star to leave behind, I would.
